The U.S. Civil War was virtually a continuation of the U.S.-Mexican War in the 1840's. These stories help the reader understand better what it means to be an American. The Genealogy Section is my research into my Champion (father) and Bonner (mother) ancestors who migrated from England in the 1600's, and migrated from Virginia and North Carolina to Alabama and Mississippi. The use of DNA is developed into this research, with great future usefulness as an important tool for the modern historian. My special interest is to write "fresh" stories, using the new historical and DNA research now available.
