Why did Jesus have to die? Why couldn't the Father just tell us to believe in Him and that our faith without His death, is enough to save us? In this book, you will read about God's original purpose for atonement. You will see how everything in the Old Testament was a shadow of what would come in the New Testament and how both have very important parts for understanding all that Jesus did on the cross. With scripture being compared with scripture, early church teachings are also included to show what all of the churches taught. There are many different teachings about salvation, covering how it was provided, who it is for, and if it is unconditionally eternally secure or conditional. Our foundation of atonement will determine all that follows.

Autorenporträt
Pastor Lyndon Conn gave his life to Christ in the mid-80s while in the Navy. Being involved in a non-traditional church with different doctrines for six months, he began to do his own research into those doctrines to discover errors in them. This formed a habit of study that led him into the study and research of every doctrine and teaching he would ever encounter as a Christian. As a pastor, beginning in the mid-90s to present, he took on a greater responsibility to teach the truth and not just go by what those before him taught him. After forty years as a Christian and writing many articles and books on Bible doctrines, it has led him to trust in the sound belief in always comparing scripture with scripture and rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
