The objective of this work is to present, briefly, the contributions already made around the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, which contributed a lot to the evolution of the subsequent peoples, until reaching the people of Israel. A priori, in a summarized way, it is specified about the Sumerian people, their contributions and legacy left to other peoples. Consequently, it is postulated about the Akkadian people, their emergence and contribution, in order to reach Ur of the Chaldeans, hometown of the patriarch Abraham. Nevertheless, it is associated that it was in Abraham that the people of Israel, which is often called the Jews, began. To do so, it is pointed out their growth as a people, their beliefs, and, above all, very briefly, the tribes of Israel, which are twelve, their monarchy and the division of kingdoms, as the Northern and Southern Kingdoms, being the North-Israel and the South-Judah. Another highlight, are the captivities that the people of Israel suffered andtheir dispersion, until they became an Independent State of Israel in the year 1948.
