Linda Nolan was born in Dublin in 1959 but grew up in Blackpool as part of a large Irish family. Along with her sisters, she was a member of the hugely popular group The Nolans from 1974 to 1983, before going solo and touring with stars like Gene Pitney. She went on to find success in musical theatre, appearing with Paul O'Grady in Prisoner Cell Block H: The Musical. She played Mrs Johnstone in the West End production of Blood Brothers for two years and then for five years on tour, and starred as Maggie May in the innovative Blackpool show Maggie May's for eight years. More recently, she has appeared in Celebrity Big Brother and Menopause: The Musical. She still lives near Blackpool.
