I pray this is just a launching point that will catapult you into the best God has for you. Clay Byrd is a country boy from Louisiana, but has bounced around from place to place growing up. All of his experiences have shaped him into the person that he is today. He truly believes that we learn from all of the experiences that we go through and strongly believes the passage of Revelation 12:11 is something that we need to take to heart and live by. This devotional is proof of that. He likes to look at himself as just a regular person who teaches geometry at his alma mater while also coaching football. He sees himself a regular person who is trying to live out a scripture that has truly done wonders in his life. Writing this devotional has been a process of both vulnerability and transparency and one that has caused him many internal conflicts. His prayer is that this reaches the ones it was intended to reach. He has two darling kids, Clay Byrd III and Addison Riley, who he cherishes and adores.
