The "One District - One Project" program has been in place since 2022, when the Ministry of Economy of Belarus, together with regional executive committees, was tasked to form a list of projects to be implemented in each Belarusian region. Among the tasks set in the implementation of this initiative were job creation, personnel retention in a particular district, and retention of competencies of a given region.
