My Book titled: From Text to Screen: Issues and Images in Schindler's List is a work on adaptation, with a particular focus on Steven Spielberg's film, Schindler's List adapted from Thomas Keneally's book, Schindler's Ark. Although articles have been written on the subject of adaptation and subsequently on the film this is the first time that a comprehensive comparative work on the same has been attempted. My effort in writing on this subject also contributes significantly to Holocaust Studies and also to Australian Studies in India. The study of Australian literature is gaining significant ground in many English Literature departments of various universities around the world. The reason for working on such a subject was the fact that not much of work has actually focused on the connection between the literary and cinematic texts of Schindler's List. Academicians and Film critics have time and again focused on the film Schindler's List as representative of only the Holocaust most of the times ignoring the literary text from which it was adapted and the kind of story that it was.
