L. BARNETT EVANS is a novelist, playwright, and award winning story teller. She has also freelanced for newspapers and magazines. She has given spoken-word performances at schools, churches, art festivals and various other venues across the country. Barnett Evans has written several stage plays: Is God Calling My Name?, North Star, and The Body of Christ. Her most recent stage play is an historical drama titled Take My Hand. Her comedy fiction book series, Grandmothers, Incorporated, was her first collaborative effort and was co-written with C. V. Rhodes. Together they have written Grandmothers, Incorporated, Saving Sin City, and There's Something Wrong with Miss Zelda. Barnett Evans also collaborated with Rhodes on the play, Grandmothers, Incorporated, which enjoyed a successful run Off-Broadway. Their second play, Stake Out, was also a box office success. Barnett Evans holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. C. V. RHODES is an author and an award-winning playwright. Her plays have been produced nationwide, including Off Broadway and have been included in two anthologies. Among her most successful plays are the comedies, Stoops and The Trip. Her works have been nominated for numerous awards and she is the recipient of the BTA Award for the Best Original Writing for her stage play, Stoops. Rhodes is the author of numerous published romance suspense novels. Her titles include: Sin, Sweet Sacrifice, Sinful Intentions, Singing a Song, Small Sensations, Still Waters, Secrets and Strangers. She is also co-author of the Grandmothers, Incorporated cozy mystery book series, co-written with L. Barnett Evans. Rhodes has a Masters degree in Sociology and has written for radio, newspapers and magazines.
