E.L. Bates is the author of the mystery-fantasy "Whitney & Davies" series and, under the name Louise Bates, the historical mystery novella "Candles in the Dark." She lives on the beautiful North Shore of Massachusetts with her husband and two daughters. In between homeschooling and writing, she enjoys knitting, quilting, exploring the local beaches and hiking trails with her family, and always, always reading.
