The applications including adsorption and chromatographic separations of various ligands on the ligand-exchange stationary phases have been carried out by frontal analysis. Modified as ligand exchanger, sporopollenin, PVC and silica gel are used as stationary phase in adsorption and/or chromatographic applications. In addition, without the need for support, a chelating agent poly-bis[4-(4'-biphenyl)oxamidine]-diaminoglyoxime was used as a stationary phase in a chromatographic study. The adsorption behaviors of the stationary phases as ligand exchanger have been evaluated by applying the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms to the experimental data, and the results of the adsorption isotherms have been also analyzed by the Scatchard plot analysis. Data analysis of single component systems is based on the effluent concentration¿time curve, which is called the breakthrough curve. In all of the adsorption processes described here, the equilibrium and kinetic data were obtained entirely by the frontal analysis method.

Dr. Ahmet Ayar promovierte 1997 in Physikalischer Chemie an der Selçuk-Universität in Konya, Türkei. Im Jahr 1997 arbeitete er als Assistenzprofessor an der Selçuk-Universität. Anschließend arbeitete er bis 2015 als außerordentlicher Professor an der Ni¿de-Universität. Seine Forschungsinteressen konzentrieren sich auf die Ligandenadsorption und die Ligandenaustauschchromatographie.
