Autorenporträt
Hanmin Huang received his Master's degree from the Department of Architecture at Tsinghua University in 1982. He is currently chief architect of the Fujian Provincial Institute of Architectural Design and Research Co., Ltd., executive director of the Architectural Society of China, vice president of the Earth Construction Division, and president of the Fujian Provincial Architect Division. He has been awarded the first prize for Fujian Provincial Excellent Architectural Design for his projects like "Ancient Walls with the Setting Sun" in Fuzhou West Lake Park, Fujian Library, Fujian Academy of Painting, and Fujian Hall. He has published several books, including Fujian Tulou (published in Taiwan), Fujian Traditional Civilian Residence, Hakka Tulou Civilian Residence, and The Old House - Fujian Civilian Residence (in collaboration with Li Yuxiang). He is the editor-in-chief of National Architecture of China: Fujian Volume, and compiled Profiles on Fujian Culture, The Collected Works of Chinese Architectural Art: Houses of Minority Nationalities in Southern China.
