The manufacture of components for the automotive industry permanently needs to increase its productivity. Despite the high degree of automation, there are still numerous tasks that need to be fully automated, reducing cycle time and increasing the repeatability and reliability of processes. This work introduces new concepts in the automation of the final process of control and packaging of suspension mats and cushions for car seats. A system capable of controlling the critical points of the components through artificial vision was developed from scratch, and properly depositing them inside a container, where they are sent to the customer. These operations were carried out entirely manually, not completely eliminating the risk of rejecting defective products due to non-conformities, and requiring the placement of the product carefully inside the cardboard containers, which required additional labor and greater failure risks.
