It is found that, the relationship between literacy and empowerment is bidirectional and there is high need for departmental coordination in order to make the literacy programs more effective. This issue is extremely important at the current juncture, as the harassment and physical attacks on women/females is increasing day by day and the domestic violence has become a common phenomenon.Economic and Social empowermentof the women is the need of the hour. It is expected that the readers would learn from the findings mentioned in the book and make use of the same for future policy making.
