Produktbeschreibung
Stroke is one of the leading causes of disability and consequences are manifold. The study described in this book focuses on examining functioning of stroke survivors and their self-rated health during one year post-stroke from a biopsychosocial perspective. For this purpose, the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) from the World Health Organization was used. The ICF encompasses body functions and structures, activities and participation as well as environmental factors and personal factors. Furthermore, the possibility to develop a multidisciplinary cross-cultural measurement of functioning after stroke with ICF categories was examined. Beside the study, the book gives also a short description of the ICF and a little history of perspectives of health and disability.
