This textbook provides a comprehensive summary of current adsorption techniques applicable in humans. Immunoadsorption may be considered for a variety of indications, including rare nephrological conditions, dilated cardiomyopathy, autoimmune bullous diseases and autoimmune encephalitis. The main focus, however, has been laid on transplantation. The reader will find protocols for ABO-incompatible transplantation as well as for antibody-mediated rejection in heart, lung and kidney transplantation.
