Autorenporträt
Dr. Danny D. Reible PE BCEE NAE is a Donovan Maddox Distinguished Engineering Chair and Professor, Department of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering and Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University. Dr. Reible holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Lamar University and an MS and PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology. His primary research focus has been assessing and managing contaminants in the natural environment and the protection and efficient use of water resources. He has authored or edited six books and more than 200 journal articles and book chapters. His research has been supported by grants and contracts totaling more than $40 million. He has held Endowed Professorships at Louisiana State University (1981-2004), the University of Sydney (1993-1995), The University of Texas at Austin (2004-2013) and Texas Tech University (2013 - ). He served as Director of the multi-university consortium, the Hazardous Substance Research Center/South and Southwest from 1995-2007 and as the Director of the Center for Research in Water Resources at the University of Texas from 2011-2013. Dr. Reible is a Board-Certified Environmental Engineer, a Professional Engineer (LA), a Fellow of AIChE,AAAS, the National Academy of Inventors and the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences, and in 2005 was elected to the National Academy of Engineering for the "development of widely used approaches for the management of contaminated sediments".
