Javier Castillo Colomer es doctor en Psicología por la Universidad de Valencia, psicólogo clínico y psicoterapeuta psicoanalítico. Es graduado en Psicología Analítica Junguiana por el Research and Training Centre for Depth Psychology according to C.G. Jung and Marie-Louise von Franz, en Zúrich y presidente de honor de la PDD International Society. Es creador de la psicoterapia dinámica orientada por dimensiones (PDD) y responsable de la formación internacional del modelo (acreditada por la Federación Iberoamericana de Agrupaciones y Colegios de Psicología). Ha publicado numerosos libros, entre los que se encuentran Los sueños en la vida, la enfermedad y la muerte, El valor del sufrimiento y Psicología dinámica orientada por dimensiones.
