Growing up, Nicola Franklin had dreams of becoming a cartoonist. She could spend hours with a pencil in hand scribbling away instead of doing her homework. Another of her favourite hobbies was (and still is) reading poetry, although she'd never made any attempt to write it. Then one day, she grabbed a pad and pen and decided to bring some of her quirky, animated comic characters into the world of rhyme.
