From Origami Yoda author Tom Angleberger, in collaboration with Paul Dellinger, Fuzzy is one's girl's quest to befriend a robot, survive middle school, and save the world. There are already tons of robots roaming the halls at Vanguard One Middle School (aka Vainglorious). Lunch cooks hover on air cushions behind the counter. Janitors zip around on wheels, with pincers and tools instead of fingers. But, Max--Maxine Zelaster, if you want to make her really mad--is pumped for the arrival of another robot: Fuzzy. Fuzzy isn't just your run-of-the-mill cyborg. He looks (mostly) human and has enrolled at Vainglorious as part of the Robot Integration Program. Max quickly befriends Fuzzy, helping him learn everything he needs to know about middle school--the good, the bad, and the really, really ugly. Little do they know that surviving sixth grade is the least of their worries. Together, Max and Fuzzy reveal the evil, super-secret purpose behind the Robot Integration Program. Can they fight to save Fuzzy and the school before it's too late? With a proven track for keeping middle grade readers laughing (and reading!), this laugh-out-loud tale will hook Angleberger's many fans, fans of robots, and any reluctant readers.
