Growing Up Nuclear is a neo, auto-biographical account of growing up under the Bomb. It uses sometimes dark/sometimes light humor to convey an historical, critical problem that still affects the population of the planet today. That means all of us. If you understand the meaning of the title, and want a semi-funny account of my experiences, read on.

Autorenporträt
I have used comedy all my life to convey serious subjects. As I often say: "I was born in North Dakota, but I left there as soon as I found out where I was." I lived in Alaska for over 50 years--don't hold that against me. I was born in 1940--BB-- Before the Bomb. From 1945 on, I grew up in school hiding under my desk which was supposed to protect me from the bomb. Anyone knows those desks were Atomic bomb proof. This work is my experiences, as expressed in the slogan we were taught, "Duck and Take Cover;" it would save you from the Bomb. So, people who perused the manuscript had many thoughts; I will only include the good ones.....Thanks for reading this blurb. My other work is titled, "The Susitna Sentinel--Editing a Newspaper on the Frontier of Alaska." And don't have a good day--HAVE A GOOD LIFE !--that's better. I know because I reached 80, still alive, and riding a motorcycle for 50 years in Alaska!
