"Can I help you?"That is the first line of this collection of thought experiments. Would communication be clearer if we could read subtext the same way as subtitles in movies? Or if a fortune cookie told us our role before entering a room?Would life be easier if we could erase grudges as if they were drawn with a pencil and mirrors helped us find ourselves?Could games help us live a healthier life and a positioning system help us live more in the moment? In the end, I simply wonder if the gadgets I made up, would also look at you and wonder: "Can I help you?"

Autorenporträt
As a child, I wanted to become a poet and an author. I would write whenever I had some spare time in primary school. Poems became my specialty. Back then, it was all in German. I lost a bit of that in secondary school but I gained language skills which I further refined in uni, where I studied language, communication, and some other things. Poems still came to me but I had forgotten that I wanted to be a poet. The birthday poems I wrote for friends became a habit because I couldn't stand boring birthday cards for dear friends. That child's dream of becoming a writer went dormant but never away. But I eventually realized that to become a writer, you have to keep writing and keep honing that skill. So never leave your house without a pen and notebook.
