Extensive work has been done to improve the performance of UWB antenna since last decade and still work in progress. Only one UWB antenna can be used to replace multi narrow-band antennas, which may effectively reduce the antenna number, but it suffers from poor gain. This thesis presents enhancement of the gain of UWB antennas using Partially Reflective Surface technique. All the results after integration of PRS with UWB antenna are demonstrated and theory of PRS explained.

Dr. Pravin Prajapati received PhD. (RF and Microwave Engg.) from IIT Roorkee, India in Sept. 2015. Currently, he is working as Ass. prof. at Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engg., A D Patel Institute of Technology,Gujarat, India. His area of Research include design of advanced optical communication system and design of planar antennas.
