Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616) is widely considered the greatest writer in the history of the Spanish language. He authored lauded works of verse, theater, and prose, chief among them Don Quixote. Philip Krummrich is a professor of comparative literature at Morehead State University.
