GAME ON is an inspirational book about overcoming the emotional and psychological challenges of cancer. It is a fictionalized account of the true story of an eight-year-old boy called Jack, who spends ten weeks in hospital undergoing chemotherapy treatment of leukemia. Jack learns to use his creativity and imagination to partner with his medical team by fighting cancers' two assassins: fear and anxiety. He reclaims his dignity and uses cancer to step into a new realm of personal power and self-confidence. Game On is a book for all ages and shows how thoughts and emotions can be used to empower the immune system, which ultimately helps in the fight against cancer. It is also a valuable tool for medical professionals that will promote patient communication and show them how to encourage their patients to become partners in the fight against cancer. Parents and teachers will find insights for helping children to engage and apply their own inner, creative forces. Game On is filled with hope, wise advice, and life-affirming activities that can easily be implemented at home, in a classroom, or in a hospital setting. It is a fun, inspirational, and educational read-one that has the potential to redefine readers' relationships to cancer and teach them about the power of the human spirit to rise above debilitating circumstances.
