"Gail Butler Hurst is a mother and grandmother from a small town in South Carolina. She worked for the county government for nine years and continued her service working for a state-owned power company before retiring in 2012 after 33 years. Though she's retired now, she still enjoys serving her community. She started a Special Olympics bowling team in 2003, and coached that team for many years. She has served as a member on the local disabilities board for over 11 years and serves at her church. In 2015, Gail began writing children's books after being inspired by all the stories she wrote for her granddaughters.Garbo the Gorilla & His Adventures in Waterville is Gail's second published children's book."
