Gareth McKeown (born 14 July 1983) is a footballer from Northern Ireland who currently plays for Irish League side Crusaders. Gareth previously played for Derby County in England, whilst at Derby County Gareth appeared in the popular coaching book goalkeeping essentials by Alex Penny before returning to Northern Ireland for spells with Ards, Lisburn Distillery, and Portadown before signing for Crusaders in the summer of 2008. He made his 100th Crusaders appearance in a 2-0 victory over Coleraine. He was named in the 2008-09 Irish League Team of the Year, along with team-mates Colin Coates, David Magowan, and Martin Donnelly.
