Gary Anthony James Webb, born on 8th March 1958, Hammersmith, London, England, UK, better known as Gary Numan, is a singer, musician, songwriter, composer, and record producer. Numan first entered the music industry as the frontman of the new wave group, Tubeway Army, releasing 2 albums with the band, before issuing his debut solo L.P. The Pleasure Principle during 1979, topping the UK Albums Chart. Gary's popularity was at its height in the late '70s - early '80s with the No. 1 singles Are 'Friends' Electric? and Cars, but he's kept a strong cult following.
