Now retired and writing as a hobby, Ray had a diverse life during which he has been a corpsman in the U.S. Navy, graduated from the University of Connecticut, worked inpatient psychiatric nursing, and then had a thirty-year career as an applications programmer. He had a typical American life: high school, service, college, marriage, kids, divorce, and so on. He has enjoyed gaming, dancing, singing, painting. His reading and video interests involve science, adventure, mysteries, history, science fiction, historical fiction, and fantasy. He really was a boy scout and can shoot a gun, saddle and ride a horse, and fish among other things.
