The study provides the realistic information on the role of farm women and their contributions in dairy husbandry in the rural social system. The study suggests several far-reaching implications to the extension planners, policy makers, academicians, scientists and rural social workers for training and transferring the livestock based technology to the actual users.

Dr. Pushpa Kumari is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Home science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi India. She has obtained her M.Sc and Ph.D in Agriculture Extension and Communication from G.B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. She has actively involved in teaching, research and academic activities.
