Working with Gender and Diversity at School in art/theatre classes at the Florianópolis-IFSC Campus, which is a technical and technological school par excellence, was an incredible experience. The opportunity to discuss themes and concepts such as gender, transsexuality, gender identity and equality, prejudice, social name, sexual orientation and diversity is not something that is common in the classroom. All these topics are important to deal with in our current reality, which is one of a lot of prejudice towards these issues that have such an impact on our society, due to the lack of dialogue and knowledge on the subject, which can in some cases even lead to death, as happens on a large scale in our country. Our proposal is to continue discussing, debating and clarifying all these issues, so that in the very near future we can have much less prejudice and a fairer society that values and respects our diversity.
