In every nation (developed and developing ones) statistics have shown that there is an increase in the presence of women in the work place as opposed to what it used to be some decades ago. Indeed, the last few decades in particular have really witnessed tremendous growth in the number of women working in formal organizations, thereby changing the demographic characteristics of the work settings with far - reaching implications. In particular, this trend has generated considerable interest in the study of gender related issues. Despite this, not much attention has been paid to the issues of gender diversity as it relates to differences in employees' perception of work environment and by extension employees' work behaviors. It is in this context that this research work was designed to examine whether an employee's gender type has any significant place in the explanation of his/her perception of work environment and employee's behavior.
