This research work examined Gender and Technical Efficiency in Cassava Production in Oyo State, Southwestern, Nigeria. A total of 245 cassava farmers, which comprised of 121 female and 124 male farmers, were sampled using a multi-stage stratified random sampling technique from two local government areas in Oyo State, Nigeria . The analytical tools employed in this study include the Descriptive Statistics, Budgetary Techniques and Stochastic Frontier Model. The major findings and policy recommendations of this study are in the latter chapters of this book.

ADELEKE OluwoleAdebayo holds a B.Tech Degree in Agric Econs and Extn ( First Class Honour) and an M.Tech Degree in Agric Econs (Distinction Grade). He is presently on his PhD program and lectures in the Dept of Agric Economics LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He is happily married to Moromoke.
