Elin Bjarnegård is Associate Professor of Political Science and Senior Lecturer in Development Studies in the Department of Government at Uppsala University in Sweden. She is the author of Gender, Informal Institutions and Political Recruitment: Explaining Male Dominance in Parliamentary Representation. Pär Zetterberg is Associate Professor of Political Science in the Department of Government at Uppsala University in Sweden. He is the coeditor of Gender Quotas and Women’s Representation: New Directions in Research.
