This book is derived from the line of generation and application of knowledge Quality of Life, Violence and Disasters and from the specific project "Gender, diversity and culture of peace" carried out at the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad Veracruzana in agreement with CREN Tuxpan. The problem that was worked on was gender violence experienced by women in relationships, since at least 1 in 3 women have suffered some of the different types of violence by third parties at some point in their lives, with the partner being the aggressor in most cases. The purpose of this book is to raise awareness and provide the reader with the tools to prevent, detect and get out of a violent relationship. It consists of four chapters that cover the problem, frame of reference, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion and recommendations. The experience of writing this book was extremely significant, as it is a very real topic that many women live with; however, each of the participants had unique perspectives and experiences, therefore different, and that is what strengthened this book.
