Despite the existence of education policies in Kenya, girls with disabilities continue to be denied the opportunities to access basic education. This book focusses on reviewing education policies in Kenya to determine specific provisions that address discriminatory practices towards girls with disabilities. The findings reflect gaps in policy enactment, interpretation and implementation at the grass root levels. The author concludes that policies should not just exist in paper but provisions must be translated into action so that the targeted population benefits from such legislation.
