The book contains analytical research work on gender discrimination, educational conditions and property rights issues in one of the villages (Kewalani) from Rupandehi district of Nepal. It was dominantly an agricultural village situated between two municipalities where gender role has been changing over time. The study area lies in Terai plain inhabited mainly by a mixed group of people. This is a dissertation work submitted for MSC in 'Development Studies' at the Department of International Environment and Development Studies, Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
