As a result they are not enabled with the skills or knowledge that they require further themselves, their families, their communities and their nation. Thus, females must be treated equally with males to attain educational access, which is necessary to increase their participation in different development programs. International treaties, conventions, laws & policies set a legal commitment on the gender equity in education.

Dr. Showkeen Bilal Ahmad Gul completed his (M.A & M.ED) from P.G Department of Education, University of Kashmir. He did his M.Phil. and Ph.D in Education from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (U.P). Besides that he qualified UGC-NET and JK-SET. The Author is presently UGC Post Doctorial Fellow at the University of Kashmir.
