Amrita Saikia has a Ph.D. from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India. Currently, she is an Associate at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies, Hamburg, Germany. From November 2023 to October 2024, she was a visiting fellow funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation at the Institute for Asian Studies, German Institute for Global and Area Studies, Hamburg.
