Reading a good book not only enriches our knowledge on any given subject, but has also long lasting inscription in our memories. It has been since recently that the initiation of off-farm income-generating activities in the Sikkim is deemed an essential shift for rural folk thereby leading to an increase in women's share of the agricultural workforce. And a fair endeavor has been done in the present book "Gender Participation in Sikkim Farming Sector in North-Eastern India" to encumber the feminizing of rural poverty by highlighting the contribution of feminine human capital in the commodity producing sector so that food supply does not get affected.
