This course constitutes ideas in ¿Gender Theories¿ to explicate some important issues like gender, gender in international relations theories and practices, gender and conflict, violence against women in conflict and war and the role and significance of women in conflict resolution. It examines the complex relationships of gender and peace and how women play a significant role in peacekeeping and peace-building.

Md Rafiqul Islam is a Lecturer in ELT (On-leave) at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology in Bangladesh.Presently he is working in China as a Foreign Expert in ELT.
