The study asked students to evaluate how their friends, parents, teachers and the media have influenced their interest level in science and math. National statistics suggest girls stop taking science and math classes as they progress through high school, however, our results were surprising.

Christine Berg and Angela Jelinek teach in a Minnesota Public School District. Both have obtained a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Christine has been teaching 8th Grade Earth Science for six years. Angela has been teaching 9th Grade Physical Science for eight years.
