Susan Speer is Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychological Sciences, University of Manchester, UK. She previously lectured at Brunel University and has been Visiting Scholar in the Department of Sociology and the Center for Language Interaction and Culture at UCLA. She is an editorial board member for Gender and Language journal and the Journal of Language and Sexuality. Her previous works include Conversation and Gender (co-edited with Elizabeth Stokoe) and the first edition of Gender Talk.
