The fundamental for the authors is a complex qualitative-quantitative approach to the study of the lexico-semantic system. The unit introduced by the authors - lexico-semantic invariant - is suggested to be an element of lexico-semantic system. The links forming the structure of lexico-semantic system are recognized as syntagmatic, paradigmatic and epidigmatic (derivational in the broad sense). The book is written in simple language and is intended for all those involved and interested in linguistics: undergraduate and postgraduate students, lexicologists, specialists in semantics and the widest audience of language lovers.
