Language has a vital playing role in political communication. The media acts as a platform for information dissemination. The meaning behind of newspapers' text of election 2018 in Malaysia and Pakistan is analyzed by employing theory of Norman Fairclough (1995) of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) on news reports of 'Malaysiakini', 'The New Straits Times' (independent and mainstream online newspapers from Malaysia), 'Dawn' and 'The News' (as independent and mainstream online newspapers from Pakistan).
