Fiber anatomical characters are useful indicators for judging fiber yield and quality, but are rarely used in breeding programs. Results indicate that fiber anatomical characters are highly suitable for predicting fiber yield and quality. The present investigation entitle was undertaken to understand the nature of gene action, combining ability effects of parents, magnitude of exploitable Heterosis and components of genetic variance for nine different anatomical characters.
