Cape gooseberry (Physalis peruviana L.) comes under minor fruit and commonly known as Rasbhari. It is a quick growing herbaceous crop which belongs to the family Solanaceae. The experiment was carried out in Horticulture Garden of Bihar Agricultural College, Sabour during Kharif season of 2014-2015 with the objectives focused in this direction on analysis of genetic variability and divergence of genotypes in cape gooseberry. 12 genotypes were evaluated in a randomized block design with three replications and data were collected.

Mr. Vikash Kumar obtained B.Sc (Horticulture) in 2013 and M.Sc. (Horticulture) in 2015 from Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur,813210. He has qualified ASRB- NET from Fruit Science in 2015. His current research focusing on "Runner production of Strawberry and its survivability in the subtropical condition of eastern India".
