The present investigation entitled "Genetic evaluation of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) hybrids under protected environment" was carried out at Vegetable Research Farm of Department of Vegetable Science and Floriculture, CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSKHPKV), Palampur during spring-summer season, 2019 (April-September) with twelve hybrids (public + private sector) of tomato viz., 15-2 × 12-1, 7-2 × Palam Pride, CLN2126 × Palam Pride, CLN1314G × Palam Pride, 7-2 × 16-B,CLN2126 × CLN1314G, 15-2× CLN1314G, 16-B × Palam Pride, 12-1 × 16-B, 12-1 × CLN1314G, 12-1 × BWR-5 and R.K-312 along with two checks, one Palam Tomato Hybrid-1 resistant to bacterial wilt and one open pollinated variety Roma susceptible to bacterial wilt with the objectives to estimate genetic variability and character association among horticultural traits and to evaluate tomato hybrids for marketable yield.
