This work explores the genetic behavior of these traits in old world cotton and will help cotton breeders to choose suitable parents for hybridization in their genetic improvement programs of cotton.This book / research findings may provide guidelines to the breeders for improving seed cotton yield and other quality characters in desi cotton by making selection of desirable plants.

Dr. Rakesh Choudhary was born in Jaipur district of Rajasthan - India. He was completed Ph.D. in Agronomy degree from CCSHAU, Hisar (Haryana) in December, 2015. He is Subject matter specialist, Agronomy in Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ambala at present. He has authored/coauthored more than 35 scientific publications, 5 chapter and one book.
