Meena Wankhade born on 28th April 1980. She received her B.Sc. Agri. (2002), M.Sc. in Genetics and Plant Breeding (2004) from Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola. She obtained her Ph.D. in Cytogenetics and Plant Breeding (2008) from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri.
