Genius represents the mind. As the central character and the impetus for each book, Genius is the forefront of messaging in this creative collection. He is an engaging character who promotes happiness, and he loves the magic of positive thinking. The brainchild for Genius came about when Wendy Marquenie realised that having arms wide open attracts positive energy and happy thoughts. His colours represent the colours of the rainbow inside each of us. Throughout the series, children will meet Genius's friends, who each match a colour of the rainbow. In the first book, Genius Asks "Who Am I?", children will learn to smile because Genius is fun to be around. He will teach children to realise that we are all perfect, inside and out. Wendy had a vision whereby she wanted children to see the magic and resilience inside each of them. And so Genius was born to pave the way. Through the exploration of each book, children are challenged to find each quality within themselves and encouraged to embrace their blossoming positive mindset; this equips them with the emotional armour necessary to face daily life in a happy and healthy way. With Wendy's linked curriculum map, these empowering lessons can also be brought firmly into classrooms around the world to allow children the freedom to develop their critical thinking skills in a fun and creative way. This is definitely a collection that should adorn every classroom shelf. Charlotte L. I spent my childhood years enjoying life within a small family unit-Mum, Dad, my sister and me. My childhood years were filled with laughter and the smell of cakes and biscuits baking in the oven. We always looked forward to our family holidays at the beach for Christmas and New Year. Mum and Dad were always encouraging and supportive of all my endeavours. As I grew and expanded my experiences, I reflected on memories and considered the what-ifs. The what-ifs began showing me opportunities, and I discovered that I had the power to change the direction of my life at any moment in time. Life's journey as a mother, wife, career person, author and business owner encouraged a deep desire to leave a legacy; something to be valued by generations to come. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion and excitement for dance. Dancing from the age of six, I received many accolades-including a dance scholarship at nine years of age in both tap and ballet. Through study and application, I experienced the joy and satisfaction of qualifying as a Latin and Ballroom dance teacher and adjudicator, teaching all ages of dancers from six to eighty. However, at times, life presents challenges and offers opportunities for a completely different journey. While dealing with an illness in 2016, I read a book that would change the direction of my life. This book, You Were Born Rich, was written by Bob Proctor. How did it change my life? I asked myself, "What is life, really? Who Am I?" And other questions along those lines. The next few years were filled with studying, learning and attending seminars, trying to understand this material that I found so fascinating and exhilarating. I was learning about myself and what makes me tick. After attending one seminar, I wrote my first book, How to Change Your Life in Six Days, followed by my next book, Big Girl's Pants. Both books reflected upon the information I was learning, and they focused on bringing out our inner genius to achieve and succeed in life. However, what I found most gratifying was witnessing the smiles and enthusiasm on children's faces when they had accomplished a new skill. It is this enthusiasm and confidence in themselves that I wanted to harness and grow. Children's minds are open to learning new things such as a dance step or playing the piano. The Genius books empower children to understand thoughts, experience jobs and generate enthusiasm to create a happy life. These books introduce lovely characters, who are meant to inspire children (including adult children) with enquiring minds to imagine, dream, achieve and succeed. Learning a new way to think, as well as developing self-belief and confidence, delivers a world of possibilities to create bright and happy futures. This is my legacy for future generations. Understanding our mindset is essential for everything we do in life, and we are never too young (or too old) to tap into our inner genius.Life is an incredible journey. Just one decision in your life can change your destiny, just like it did for me. Make your best decision and you can achieve it too. Experience it - Believe it - Do it - Love it!
